Mount Abu is the highest mountain in Aravalli Range. The nearest Railway Station is Abu Road which is 40 kms from Mount. During december-january the temperature dips below to 10 °C during night and early morning. Mt. Abu have some of best natural views. Some of the dharamshalas at Mount is best and cheap option to stay like Raghunath Dharamshala (location) at the bank of Nakki Lake prices starting from Rs. 700.Some of place I visited are below

Guru Shikhar: This is the highest point on Mount Abu situated at a height of 1.722 kms. The view from this point is amazing, I suggest you to visit this place at sunrise later this place get crowded.

Achal Garh Fort and Jain Temple: The fort is fully damaged which was built in 9th Century. There is Mahadev temple right outside the fort which is well maintained, less people visits this Jain temple and hence making this best and peace temple where you would love to sit for a while meditating. Right outside the Fort Gate you can have a quick bite or even have lunch food is good and economical.

Nakki lake: Nakki lake is huge, boating facility available, I went here during New Year Eve so this place was happening and a lot of pubs were open in nearby places artist we performing various plays. A decent place if you wanna finish off your day with a beautiful sunset.

They said sunset view is seen from Sunset point near Nakki Lake is the best, but honestly I couldn’t find any when I visited. Please comment below the location if you found.

Abu Road: Very colorful and crowded market in Abu Road, where you can find economic place to stay(tariff starts as low as Rs. 400), good food. Abu Road is about 4 hours by road from Ahmedabad and about 3 hours from Udaipur(Abu-Udaipur Road gave me fantastic road trip experience about which I will write in next blog post).
